Flurry

Little Flurry’s house is up high,
on a cloud in the sky.

She lives with her mom and pop.
She sleeps with her sister in the bunk on top.

Her home is in snowfake town.
It’s the best house in town because all rooms have views straight down.

Little flurry has much to learn
She will jump from her cloud, when it’s her turn

She goes to school to study and learn.
Into her brain snowflake lessons she must churn.

First, she learns to jump the proper way.
She listens to everthing her teacher has to say.

Next, she must learn the floating skill.
She practices by jumping from a steep hill.

Then, the most important skill of all,
how to softly land after you fall.

There is one skill she can’t learn
and this is Flurry’s biggest concern.

After she lands on the ground she must evaporate and back to her home return.

Flurry studied hard and passed her test.
Now she must wait for the wind to blow west.

My mom's birth day.

Yesterday, I thought of my mom when someone said Happy Birthday. This woman carried me for nine months thus changing her body forever. She spent hours in immense pain during my birth. She spent her youth raising me to be the person I am today (And if you know me- you can imagine that was not the easiest of task). Giving me the best of her life. My birthday is my mom's "birth" day. I thank God everyday for my mom.

"A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts. " Washington Irving
